About Finn B. Knudsen
Finn B. Knudsen, graduated with an M.Sc., Ch.Eng., from the Royal Techn. University of Denmark in 1966, and has more than 50 years experience working in the Brewing and Beverage Industry from various research and management positions at Tuborg Breweries, Rainier Brewing Company, Molson Breweries of Canada, Danbrew Consult Ltd. (100% owned subsidiary of Carlsberg Breweries A/S at that time), Coors Brewing Company, Procordia Beverages AB (BBH), and Pripps Breweries.
Finn also has worked with several Universities during his career, such as giving lectures to graduate students in waste control at the University of Washington.
In 1993 Finn founded and became president of BCI or Beverage Consult International, Inc., Colorado, providing management and technical services to the beverage industry worldwide. In 1995 he was appointed as the President for the then newly established American Region, New Zealand Hop Marketing Board supporting sales and services of the New Zealand Hop Products primarily in the Americas. In 2011 he reorganized and closed BCI in order to focus on its core business and formed a new company Knudsen Beverage Consulting Company.
The various professional memberships include Master Brewers Association of the Americas, The American Society of Brewing Chemists, the Institute of Brewing & Distilling, the Brewers Association, the Association of Danish Civil Engineers, Danish Technical University Alumni Association, and an associate of The Center for Biotechnology at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs.
He has served as Chairman for Technical Committee of the Master Brewers Association of the Americas (MBAA) Technical Committee for many years and is currently serving on the Executive Committee for the MBAA Rocky Mountain District. In 2005 he was named the recipient of the prestigious MBAA Award of Merit, which has been given to only a few persons in the history of the MBAA. He was a member of the Rotary Club of Evergreen since 1998 and served several years as their Chair of its International Service Committee. In December 2010 he transferred his Rotary membership to the Rotary Club of Conifer. (PHF) He served as their President during the Rotary year 2017/18. He is a Paul Harris Fellow and a member of the PHF Society. Since March 2018 Finn has and is serving as Assistant Governor for District 5450 Mountain Area 8.
